Trying not to be so AFK now. We've had a death in the family, (Cats are family, and anyone who says otherwise can go eff-themselves) my Husbands 20 yr old cat passed.

That was one of the roughest things I've ever been through in my life. I'd been around and in her life for 10 years.... She was intelligent and well just... her. Months after meeting my husband, I was laying on his couch, and she was perched above me on the arm of it. He jokingly tells her to "Bite her" (meaning me) and she immediately bit me on the head...

We have added back to the cat count, and are back at the (hubby standard) of 2 cats. He picked this one, and she's adorable as all effing get out.

We have been cuteness overloaded for the past 24 hours.

Technically at the time of this post it's more like 30 hours... but hey who's counting??

Hello all!

It's been awhile and I'm sorry to have cut things off the way I did. I missed blogging, but I couldn't seem to fit it into my schedule.

I think I'm back, but don't quote me on that yet, lets just call this a tester phase.

My soon-to-be raiding main has changed to a Shadow Priest, and it's been weeks since I've grouped on my Holy Paladin...

This is making more than my last position (which was a managerial thingyamajig) yet the new one is considered "Entry Level" and believe you-me.... if you saw one of my trainee buddies in a grocery store.... lets just say he'd have a hard time discerning between condensed, and regular milk........

I can't spare too much time to blog with my shift being back to 1st and night-time outgoings, ramblings, and freedom policy being somewhat less open than previously.

I'll take a moment to 100% thank Saund for including me in his posts and not discounting me as a PMS endorphined homicidal freak looking for an outlet in teh intarwebs. And even thanking Ambrosine for including me in her blogrool until I disappeared about 3-4 months ago. I completely understand the maintennance and that my removal was my own fault... it's just easier to read blogs lately than to post something coherent.

I luff you all and hope I see you in the expansion.

I've been distracted lately and not posting regularly.

I have an excuse, not only has my guild suffered a major /gamequit loss, but we have a cruise coming up in less than a week.

One week from today I'll be.... hrmm drunk off my ass on a big ass boat headed to the Bahamas.

Our Guild Mistress quit pretty unexpectedly (though looking back now I see she was cutting her raid time down) and handed the reins to her husband. Since he used to be the guild leader before she was, there was no issue with the change except the loss of an exceptional healer, and the only other reliable healing lead.

*FUCK*

Now I'm the sole healing lead for the guild and I have to get someone trained up *FAST*. Luckily I have at least one person interested in the role. If healing chat has become a little more... less detailed for the first 5 or so bosses, well it's because we should all know this fight by now right?

Heh wrong-o mighty Paladin... your first Night 1 run after her quit, what did you get? Three new healers!!!! Some of them being ALTS at that!

(You can see my thoughts on us allowing Alts in a previous post.. I was told "NO ALTS" therefore you should be told the same thing you twat-waffle.) <-- I figured it'd be tacky to steal Cock Garage from Amber.

So I get to be stuck on all night 1's from here on out with next to no reward until I get another healing lead trained up... oh fucking joy.

Ruby Sanctum

There are a few things you need to do before entering Ruby Sanctum.

1.) Make sure you have food/water or a mage for both.
2.) Have flasks at the ready, a stack of at least 5 should do.
3.) Make sure you repair.
4.) Find out if someone on the raid has Jeeves/some other way to repair, preferrably at least 2 people.
5.) Go out to the local sex store and buy generous amounts of KY.
6.) Lube yourself < 5 mins before raid time
7.) Stick your entire computer up your ass. It'll feel better. (this applies to PC's as well)

Guild rant

We have had one of those DPS "AFK a few" moments that turned into at least 20 mins... while he proceeded to buy gems in dalaran for the piece that he had just won on the previous boss.... (huntard). It made me want to cry, but I held my breath and slogged along like everyone else when he finally finished... albeit a few more LIVID TELLS to guild leadership later.

Then we institute a "no alts" rule for ICC. Seemingly at the same exact time that I'm "done" with my holy Paladin in ICC.

-Aside- I would never *dream* of using my guild to level my alts in the place of using my main for "progression" runs.. but night 1 shit... (IE up to Saurfang... maybe one boss more) I do not see me taking my alt for a change of pace as an issue. Loot -in my guild- is distributed to mains first anyways, so it's not like I'm taking loot that would go to someone who's been doing ICC consistently for months.

Ok- I have no issue with it. My Shadow Priest found another guild and I'm struggling to fit in (typical), until this week when a known IDIOT warlock decides that it's OK to take his alt mage to ICC.

Now I realize that we have a large guild. We're consistently flirting with the 500 cap Blizz imposed if you want the IG UI to work... So I in no way blame my raid/guild leadership for what could honestly be a one-time fuckup.

But this douchebag brought an alt, when I was basically told that if I wanted to raid on my alt, I had to do it elsewhere???? To make it worse I KNOW FOR A FACT... that he was on the raid where we were ALL TOLD... NO MOTHERFUCKING ALTS......

Huge fucking slap in the face. I seriously considered quitting the raid, and logging for the night. I in fact considered hiatus... again.

I'm sick of this. My guild leadership likes me alot... yeah I'm not an officer, but I think I'm starting to understand why.... I'm a hothead at times... those times being typically when I have alcohol in my system, or when I'm extrodinarily pissed off, like that night (last Thursday night).

I'm bound to say something disagreeable I'm sure, so I haven't been awarded the coveted "officer" status, even though I've had it in 7th in ANY FUCKING GAME PAST EQ1...

Erm... tangent.. yeah.

Mrs. Guild Mistress has told me that I'm irreplaceable.... yet with our raid makeup lately being 3 HOLY Paladins on night 1, with the other two out healing me (don't get me into meter numbers and thuroughness right now... I know numbers aren't all), and me being done with loot...... I'm tempted to make her prove it by taking another break.

-------On the plus side I did get a direct apology from the raid leader (said guildmistress's hubby) about the fact that someone was allowed to take his alt. Not something you get everyday. Still upsetting that loot can get awarded to an alt, and we have that alt come ONE TIME, they do less DPS than a healer in some 5 mans on their main, and the people that work the hardest for EVERYTYHING.... STILL GET SCREWED.

So I'm dragging my sorry ass away from the pity and self loathing that is my life right now in the hopes of reviving my interest in doing this.

The long and the short of the past few weeks;
I lost my job. I knew it was coming, the whole damn office was closing for fuck's sake, but I am still unemployed and I now get to watch my husband freak out more than normal... oh joy.

I *finally* upgraded my boot slot, by far one of the worst I had.

I begged hubby to loan me money to buy a hilt. I now have a moar awesome weapon, and have completed what has to be one of the best quest chains in the game.

I seem to have made at least two friends in what is arguably the number one Alliance guild on the server, but do not fear friends! I am not leaving 7th any time soon. I just can't see dedicating the amount of time that these people do to raiding, much less going to a DKP or similiar system *shudder*.

I now regularly stay up until 2-4am and get up between 10 and 11.

I'm levelling a Warlock...

Our guild is losing interest in raiding even though we have made progress. We can now kill Uncle Fester, hopefully with the buff going up just this week, we can down Rotface too. We're regularly having to fit in 5 bosses, plus VoA, and sometimes plus the weekly in two days due to lack of interest.

I think the saddest news of all is, I'm out of rum, and not due to get any more until I'm back in the daily grind with the rest of the working world. If nothing will light a fire under your ass that sure should... *sigh*

So I'm back to raiding full time, or at least as full time as my guild gets which is 3 nights a week.

Part of what has drug me out of hiatus kicking and screaming is Tweak signing me up to raids. Now luckily he's not signing me up to raids that he's leading, and they're 10 man ICC. I don't have many upgrades in 10 man ICC, but the badges make it worth it to some degree. Which if you count these, makes it 4 nights a week raiding.

Tweak has also decided that he is gods gift to raiding... well guess what.. even the developers know that DPS warriors are OP and you're getting a nerf. So while you may have passed judgement on yourself as the gift that keeps on giving, we all have decided that you're full of hot air and in need of several enema's.

I attempted to knock him down a few pegs in his self satisfying opinion of himself. I thnk I did pretty well, but I'm astonished that other people haven't told him he's a piece of shit... even if they only mean personally.

Luckily he's noticed to some degree, he posted recently that "some people" think he leads raids with an iron fist... No thats not the problem, you're a douchebag, thats the fucking problem. You're so full of yourself you can't see that other people do contribute to raids and that your leadership style of calling out names of people who fuckup DOES NOT FIT.

Most people put up with it since they don't have the balls to do otherwise, and that I think is the worst thing of all. When you are uncomfortable and don't speak up to rectify the problem.

This is why I needed a fucking break to begin with and it hasn't let up... I'm getting sick of his shit to the degree that I'm being more vocal about him being an ass. I hope that others notice, and at least speak up to the leadership privately.

In better news, he won't be able to make it to our yearly gathering... oh darn. I'm absolutely heartbroken over it... see the tears?

In RL news I've had an interview at a major lender, and I had a 2nd interview for the same position today. Hopefully I'll know something better by the end of the week.

So I take my hiatus.

why? I'm sick of banging my goddamn head against the goddamn mob that is Marrowgar. We beat him ONCE before my hiatus, and that was after I told the guild I was taking a break... suddenly everyone is interested and we kill Marrowgar... WTF.

So for the next resets that we reset ICC (had one continuation week) of course ALL during my hiatus, we not only kill Marrowgar, but the bitch behind him and the gunship battle... I swear to god I can't fucking win for losing. To be fair I've run one week with them... the coordinator raid-leader guy clipped the note that said "I'm a backup only" in his Excel spreadsheet somehow and I was a main healer for one of these dealio's.

I'm still taking this week and probably next off.

I'm coming back to full time raiding when we do the Uld Achi runs at the end of the month. Till then... it's Dragon Age time again bitches!

Comments on the Encidia Ban.

Of the things linked in the wow.com article I did take a peek at was the novel that Muqq wrote on Encidia's website. It's definitely not safe for young eyes.

In it he specifically states a few things;

1) They knew it was an exploit.

The tactics used are provided by game mecanics yes, BUT they completely trivialized a stage of the encounter. An end of expansion encounter. Think about it, back in the MC days, or BC days, you had to work for it, for every last percentage of health on that damn boss. Even Encidia took time to clear this stuff back in the day. Every single one of them knew that stage 2 or whatever it was, was basically turning out to be nothing more than a walk in the park for an end game boss. When you can kill the boss in the first 24hours from it's release, you're not doing it right using fucked up game mechanics, you're fucking exploiting.

2) They didn't care that they were using an exploit.

They found a way to avoid one of the hardest stages of the encounter, and it was like like putting candy in front of a hungry child, they used it so that they could be the first. They do get paid to do this thing we call raiding, and they get paid well to be the first and arguably the best.

3) This stage of ICC was not beta tested or on the PTR.

Simple proof of this is in the pudding so to speak, with the death of Arthas cutscene only recently being leaked and that from game files once the patch downloaded. You can't throw something like that on the PTR without it getting leaked all over the world, so they (Blizz) chose not to. Do I blame them, yes a little bit. The cutscene could have been left out of the PTR and the encounter could have been fully tested. This group of developers working on WoW right now scares the hell out of me. Especially Ghostcrawler.

4) Muqq has cancelled his account.

My only comment is good, one less asshole in the game after the 21st (the day his subscription runs out). This is after all the guild that talked about transferring to other servers an entire raid team and "stealing" any missing server firsts that are as yet unaccomplished, and then transferring back.

They should have permabanned them. Maybe I'm jealous about the getting paid to play thing, maybe I'm not... but you do not have to be a complete and total dick to be good at playing the game, Encidia has accomplished that and more. Now you would have to pay me to raid with people like that, and pay me very fucking well. I'm talking 6+ digits here people.

"Turdhead" vs. Us.

So once again "Turdhead" has been at it recently. Lets call him "Tweak" from now on... it fits, and it's fucking shorter.

So two weeks ago Tweak decides to speak up on a 25 man. On the second attempt at Beasts in ToC. This was not a Guildleader/Guildleader-Hubby run, and he is oh-so much worse on the ones that are sans them.

Don't get me wrong, we very much HAVE progressed past this stage of ToC, we just still run it for shits and giggles, and gearing alts much to my dismay... I have yet to be able to take Toire on one of these runs, yet we'll let someone in FULL blues and greens go? Damn at least Toire had a few pieces of purple shit.

Anyway. Tweak gets pissy when not everyone is on the Snobolds. Typically he says something, but never calls someone out by name. Second attempt, he calls someone out by name, one of our newer members no less. Midfight hubby speaks up in voicechat telling the ACTUAL RAID LEADER to replace him. Tweak not being the ACTUAL RAID LEADER needs to be made very clear here. Now me healing, yes I'm sure that they could replace me, but he did tone it down after that.. in fact I think he might have even gotten the message (*finally*) in a way other than a blatant /tell "Hey dumbass tone it the fuck down ok?"

So he proceeds to spend the rest of the night not really commenting too much and I stay on to let the other healers know what happened. We have a channel, and no I'm not going to type it out here, we don't need strangers in it TYVFM. Anyway, hubby drops and I get slammed with "Is he ok?" and variants of, because at this stage we're maybe 20mins into raid time. One of our healers that night knew what was going on (she's been suffering through our bitching about Tweak for months) and told them, as well as me.

Basically, no he's fine, he just hates Tweak. Tweak is being an asshole on point tonight and he won't put up with it.

This is the first time I admit to a channel of people (with humbers greater than say... 5) that Ian -hubby- and I have issues with Tweak. To my absolute and utter surprise, most of the inhabitants of the channel either sympathized or bitched right along with me.

Now around this time I was coming to the realization that my mental health was being taxed by the consistent failed attempts on Marrowgar (25), Tweak's attitude, and my usual 6-9month raiding burnout period. I decided that it was time to step away from the raiding portion of playing for awhile in lieu of other ways to... I dunno actually have some damn FUN in the game.

Raiding can be fun, when it's not treated like a goddamn job. Luckily I even had the opportunity to say this in guild chat directed at Tweak. Yes folks, I actually got a chance to smack him down a little bit.

Yesterday I got pulled into a supah secretly organized through texts ubah 10man raid. Our weekly this week was Marrowgar, and damned if I was going to see him go down again in 25 this week. We've killed him... one time. Notably on my last ICC raid before my hiatus... Irony much?

So I went on 10 man. No Tweak, only people who actually wanted to have fun. I got to talking to Guildleaders-hubby and to my astonishment... even our very fogiving, lovable Guildmistress has noticed Tweaks attitude and mentioned it. From the gist of the conversation, she's wondering if he has a mental condition that requires him to be an asshole when he sits behind the keyboard... no that was just me. She did wonder openly if something was wrong with him. The other was me projecting what that "wrong" was.

Ian and I have met Tweak IRL... along with 19-20 other people from our guild for our annual get together and get shitfaced drunk vacation. OK thats just me, but there are usually copius amounts of alcohol involved, especially when last year took us to Dallas, and one of our Guildies owns a tequila bar there.

Tweak is not an asshole in real life... I'm not going to say he's a fantastic guy, but he's certainly not the asshole IRL that he is in game. I even joked with said Guildleader-hubby that his mic must be faulty, adding the asshole factor to his voice in raid chat.

I don't know... I've ben slated for ICC 25 this week. I just couldn't pass by the signup without saying I'd be happy to be on standby.... I guess I had honestly hoped that they wouldn't need me. Which is both good and bad I guess. Good for my ego, bad for my hiatus, and bad for us progression wise until others get better damn gear.

And there is your long ranty post for the next week or so. I'm sure I'll have more fodder after Monday's raid.

Karma fail part 2?

Not entirely sure if this should be labeled part 2... but "Wiley" is at it again.

Now he has decided that his DK will no longer be his main character, but his Tank/DPS Paladin.

Oooooook... it's happend from time to time, but I notice it more with 2-3 "certain" people in the guild.. most likely for a manners issue, instead of a *real* emergency issue.

I look and we have 3 Pallys in raid... I can count two aura's runnin... I switch mine, ok no duplicate, one of our other 2 pallies switches his on and off... bingo! I know who it is... recalcitrant little bitch.

If I didn't have to deal with telling the paladin in a raid to turn on ANY FUCKING AURA BESIDES CRUSADER.... well it might have been a better day.

Karma Fail

So karma came and bit me in the ass, sorta.

This all started before the winter break of raiding. I was especially drunk during one of our raids (not falling over, but well buzzed) and one of our loyal healers was sending me tells that they were considering quitting the guild altogether if they were assigned to heal "Wiley" again.

To give some backround on "Wiley" he is a tank, or supposed to be. As a DK you can have two spec's, tank and DPS. He had been "tanking" for our raids using Unholy spec, and this was a hge point of angst among the healers in the healing channel. None of us understood how he thought Unholy was a decent tanking spec, he couldn't hold aggro, he ran out of hit points faster than we could heal him, and overall the sitution was a mess. Even our leadership had noticed his fail tanking ability and I had at least one conversation in which one of our main tanks, not only cussed about him but highly adminished is tanking skills (or lack thereof).

I've looked through the spec he had at the time, and it just made me shudder to think that "Wiley" thought this was an acceptable tanking spec. On top of that, one of our top healers threatening to quit the guild, and my drunken state, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Without remorse I told him very, very bluntly (I seem to have missed school the day they taught tact) that we all thought he was a moron for tanking in Unholy spec. It made "Wiley" harder to heal, he didn't generate threat as well as any of our other tanks, and just seemed silly.

I got hubby involved by telling him that I said this to "Wiley" and he flew off the handle at my exact wording, he said we'd be lucky if this didn't blow up in my face. He proceeded to play good-cop to my bad-cop and tried to diffuse the situation.

Meanwhile "Wiley" tells me why he thinks Unholy is an acceptable tanking spec........

"Bone Shield"

That statement made me want to cry and put my head through the desk.

I then, with slightly more tact, I proceed to try and relay the benefits of Frost spec, while admitting that none of the healers (or leadership apparently) had the balls to say anything to his face sooner (a valid question of his).

So here is where Karma decided to bite me in the ass.
I logged in one Saturday recently, focused on doing my daily for frost badges before doing our RL running around. I get in within a very short timeframe (healers FTW), and I get HHoR... yay.

Now I've done this successfully a few times and this was pre mini-nerf. With a druid tank and DPS that seemed kitted out, we proceeded. The tank decided to alcove tank, having done this a few times both ways I have to say I prefer non-alcove tanking, as it's slightly less stressful on the healer. I set my mind to this being a difficult one, and have my fingers ever ready to cast Hand of no-aggro, bubble and pull all my tricks out.

Even with all of this we wipe. Why? The DPS over aggroed before the tank had everything focused on him, I healed the DPS, and had nasty things proceed to chew on my face. I get called out in group for just "standing there doing nothing" and retort that if things hadn't been munching on my face, interrupting and fearing me that I might have been able to heal. I threw in the assmunch directive to the person who called me out..... who happened to be the tank.

We settle down after recouping and me saying that it might be nice if you approached the situation nicely instead of accusing the healer of twiddling their thumbs, and yes he got me back in the name calling dept, and I did let it slide since I started it.

We go again and wipe for the same reason again... I say in group "*sigh* stunned" within 30 seconds I was groupless while still heading back to my corpse.

I had suffered a votekick all because the DPS couldn't wait two or three seconds before going balls to the wall.

Needless to say I was pissed. I didn't run my daily for a week fearing another HHoR.
I also appologized to "Wiley" for how hard I broke it to him when I helped him kill Hogger on an alt.

I'm not so fond of the PUG system now.

Random Number Generator? My Ass

So I've been using the LFG system pretty frequently lately. Hurrah for three 4 day weekends in a row!

I'm assuming that something akin to the RNG is used to determine what instances you get when you go into the que. I have gotten so many DTK, Gundrak, and HoS instances it makes me sick. The gearscore is not playing a role here- trust me on this. One day hubby and myself (on two different characters for me) 3 characters total mind you, all got the same instance as our random... W-T-F.

To my guys out there in Pansy Division, to anyone from my guild, or anyone else that stumbled across my blog and might be reading. From my heart to yours have a fantastic holiday.

Mine will be spent suffering from a possible sinus infection. It just started today, maybe I'll luck out though... here's hoping.

The bright side is, I don't have to work for the next 4 days.

/LFG Tool

Ok for the most part this thing has been awesome. I'm starting to gear up my DPS alt (the one who isn't closeted permalife) and in general I have had good experiences on my alt and on my main.

However, the LFG took doesn't have a checkbox for the judgemental asshole retards to click to exclude them from the system, or group them with only eachother. Admitedly, some of these guys amuse me when I'm not the target. I full out laughed my ass off when a DK putting out 700 DPS was called out in group. The heroic reset was coming up, he (Sad-DK) asked if we were gonna get kicked out, we tell him no, you'll get an option to stay. The Druid tank then says pricelessly, "Stay or go it doesn't matter the pet can take your spot in DPS." The Sad-DK had been called out earlier for his lack of DPS, having no gems in his armor and no enchants on his gear. All-in-all someone that deserved at least a very good ribbing- if not a sit down talking to right?

Yeah then you get the assholes who I get grouped with on my main. I'm not bragging, but I like to think I have good gear. I think I just got rid of my last 213 piece of gear... I think. Most of my stuff is at least 232 if not 245. With all the heroics I did with the new tool I upgraded my last few slots that I could through the vendor. BADGE FARM.

Oh, yeah back to my story. I got this asshole tank in one of my groups. Originally I thought he was going off on the druid... I made a fuckup and died. This guy was so good he managed to tank the boss down to 9% or some shit before the last DPS facepulls a roamer and adds it to the tank and he died. So the tank starts talking about situational awareness, which I thoguht was directed at the druid, being as the druid battlerezzed a fucking DK and not the healer (WTFBBQ?). He then proceed to call me out as having died to the AoE blast from the boss which (omg) "Boggles his mind."

I told the guy look, I've done this boss twice (2nd boss -I think- in PoS) and you can kiss my ass. Shit happens, get over it. His response was pretty good.. I can't fault him for it... "Then ask." OK.. I can see that If you're not doing what everyone else at our gearlevel is doing... consta-pulling with no chance for the healer to do more than play whack-a-mole. I retort with that, then say "You know what.. I don't have to take a ration of shit from you, have a nice day," and ragequit while he was going on about me costing his guild repair money.

Wow... someone that ubersauce has to rely on his guild to repair his shit.... he can't take a few minutes a day to do a damn daily or two and make some cash on his own. I guess he's too cool for that.

Overall I'm a fantastic healer (buffs armor), I had a momentary lapse on the first run on the boss.. it wasn't the second try or the third, it was the first fuckup and he went off on me like I was one of these assholes getting carried in an uber group. I don't have time for people to treat my main like that.. and you know what I don't have to put up with your bullshit. I'm a healer, do you know how fucking fast I can get in another run? It takes about 5 seconds for the tool to go "TA-DAHHHHH" with a group invite after I join. That combined with the fact that I hate PoS, yeah ragequitting that shit was the highlight of my day.

Mimiron and 3.3 goodness

So last raid week (remember how I told you our raid weeks are weird? this was just last monday) we approached Mimiron with trepidation and a few of the more experienced raiders adjusting our shorts and expecting a wipe night.

I was even in tells with "Turdhead" and we both agreed on the outcome of the night. We figured that the raid wouldn't know what hit them, and it was going to be a wipe/learn-fest.

I say in party chat (not raid) to my husband, the raid leader, the guild leader and one of our awesome DPS, "If we get to phase 3 I'll shit myself." Hubbys seconds previous statement of "If we get to phase 3 *I'll* tank the command module" wasn't without it's irony. He is a hunter.

If you haven't seen the videos go watch a regular Mimiron strat video, he looks hard. all these phases that do different things and require people to think and move and OH FUCK THERE IS AN OMNOMNOMNOM MISSILE POINTED AT ME!

I love my guild, I am in it for the people, not to progress in raids or get loot. Those are benefits, but even if this guild didn't raid I would still be with them. We have rules of conduct, and only one of them chafes me. Many people in the guild know eachother in some way. We've had to limit ourselves to friends only invites and we're hovering at the max member count at all times. As such, typically in our raids you have 10-15 people who watch themselves and know what the hell they're doing. The others are being carried and will generally stand in fire, or cause a wipe now and then as they are not as aware of their surroundings, or what is going on.

1st try what do we do? Get to phase 3.

4th try, we kill him.

I was completely blown away..... I think even "Turdhead" was speechless.

So we saved the ID for this weeks raids.... 3.3 killed the raid save... buh-bye progress.

Painful Grouping

Have you ever had one of those groups that just makes your hiney hurt?

I'm not complaining about people not knowing their class or not knowing how to play the game, I'm talking one of those groups that just doesn't *mesh* right. The type that takes you 3 hours to do Old Kingdom... yeah those groups.

These people are competant raiders. Here is the makeup of the group; DK tank, Priest healer, Shadow Priest, Rogue, and Hunter. The hunter is my hubby and as such will not be the target of any bitching. He's good at what he does, he spends hours upon hours building spreadsheets witht he best gear for his character and where it comes from. He keeps up to date on every single class change and talent point update. Trust me, he does know his shit.

I was the Shadow Priest, and admittedly I'm new to the DPS game. I ground out about 8-10 regular ToC runs and upgraded some of my gear, but I still have some lvl 70 epic Sunwell stuff. I just haven't found better yet, and frankly I won't until I'm out of the 5 man content I'm pretty sure.

Sure Sunflare isn't the most updated thing in the world, but I didn't get any better from questing because... well I leveled her PVP. I guess I should mention that too.

Now understandably I'm putting out sub-par DPS. This is why I didn't force myself onto the LFG system and some poor schmucks who just wanted a quick instance. I instead forced myself onto some guildies.

The DK tank hasn't done 5mans in ages. He's a conpetant tank and raids with us. Hell they use him to off tank adds in raids. He is that good.

The Rogue I don't know very well. I want to say he's been on some raids with us, but I just don't know the guy.

The Priest healer is an alt. of one of our raiders as well. She typically plays a warlock.

Now the makeup sounds good, if a little heavy on the priests, but not something that would lead to repeated wipes and painful progression in a heroic right? Well you'd be wrong. I don't know what it was, but between the of us we coudn't down one boss without a wipe, EXCEPT for the mind control guy... not sure how we managed that.

We were going to beeline for the boss to go burn the corpses at, but after the first wipe we didn't have corpses to burn anymore.... (fix it Blizz... you know you read my blog as a guilty pleasure).

There was just *something* missing from the entire thing and it frustrated me to no end. Hubby of course blew me out of the water DPS wise, but I knew that would happen. The Rogue was not subpar either... it was just a convoluted mess I think...

Well two of us were drunk, but I'm not even going to mention that... I play drunk all the time.

Raid Leaders > everyone else

OK, I've been saving up this bitchfest and I'll see if I can get it out before work.

If you are not the raid leader you do NOT have the right to call out on voicechat bitching to everyone else. I don't care if you used to lead raids in the past, you can shove your qualifications up your ass. If our main raid leader (IE Guild Mistress's hubby) is there, you do not have the right to call out anyone not doing their job. In fact if you're not listed as the raid leader in the little calendar thingy- you do not have the right to bitch or call out anyone. You have been talked to before about your addon that called out people who failed at frogger (which was the funny the first 2 times), you've been told that your abrasive nasty attitude is the reason people won't run with you.

I usually end up in tells with one person not familiar with my anti "Turdhead*" tells during raids that he tries to become de-facto raid leader on. I don't think there is one person yet who thinks this guy is NOT a dick.

I know of at least 4 people who have gone to the leadership and said "We will not raid if "Turdhead" is leading." Suddenly he's not leading, and I don't think that we were the only 4 who said something. I'm just not savvy enough to be in every social circle within our guild.

We are not hardcore, we are not that type of raiding guild. We are friends and hugs and do not treat everything like it's a motherfucking job. People can have RL shit and have to go and it's OK. You can occasionally no show and it's cool. You can disappear for weeks and when you sign up again we'll throw you in a raid slot.

We are not hardcore even after "Turdhead's" efforts to make us so. I don't care how frustrated you are that we are not progressing... you do NOT EVER take it out on guildies when they fail. We are not that guild you stupid motherfucker.

You do NOT EVER call out the healers as the problem when it's an offtank getting critted... because guess what thats his fault, not ours. You do not coordinate heals...EVER. We have a channel for that and we handle it there, you know this, you have a FUCKING HEALING ALT WHO IS IN THE CHANNEL!!!!!

So "Turdhead" remove that stick from your ass and calm down. Or alternatively, die in a fucking fire and fuck you, from the bottom of my heart.

Just wanted to put it out there that it's been hard to get motivated to post anything this week, and apologize to anyone who's reading (or I am apologizing to myself for letting myself down... hrmm narcissistic much?).

We did Ony this week (technically our raid weeks are weird, it was last Thursday) and for once I felt completely useless. I was coordinating heals for a fight I've only been a grunt healer on. We started off the signups with 8 or 9, but ended up with 7 showing up, with 2 of those either being an alt or very new to the fight.

4th attempt is when I lose my alt healer from my pool of healing.... I'm now down to 6 because apparently the DPS wasn't doing their job and they needed her to help kill the big bad dwagon.

So on each pull we were damn near guaranteed to be down to 5 by the time Ony hits the air. Not naming names, but I saw a fail angel alot... maybe not exactly by the first phase, but certainly by the time the big flamey breath weapon struck.

Here's a fucking hint... the raid leader (or my husband, having the duty handed off to him mid-fuckall run) was calling out WHERE IT WAS WAS SAFE TO STAND.... "North and south are safe" "Sides are safe" "NE and SW" "Outside the goddamn zone". So maybe you should get a clue from that... don't stand in the middle of the fucking room and try to soak up the flames because you needed a goddamned tan. This is not survivable, so FUCKING MOVE instead of showing off your fail angel each and every attempt.

I refuse to name names, since I do love this woman dearly, but maybe Ony was not the first raid you should have come back from Hiatus on.

Oh and next time you go into Ony's room and notice a vague spacegoat shaped pattern of blood spatters on the floor thats starting to tile the room... pay it no mind, we finally killed her Sunday, but the 6 or 7 attempts on Thursday left me wondering when she was going to buy me dinner and what I did with my KY.

Armor Sets

I have to say I'm a little peeved at the developers.

What the fuck are they smoking?

How fair is it that I can wear gear that looks like it came off of a hunter? or a shammy? (Ok some of that shammy gear is rightfully taken)

I have a paladin buddy who I have a friendly gearcheck with every week. He's wearing an ilvl 232 helm that looks EXACTLY LIKE the ilvl 245 one I just won tonight. W-T-F-B-B-Q?

I don't get it. Oh and he's got a different shield, but it's the same graphic, just with a slightly sicker hue to it.... (more green). It's just not right that they reused, no wrong word, overused all of the armor patterns and even went crossclass with them.

There is no originality to it, no uniqueness. It feels like the only reason my Paladin doesn't look like everyone else and their mother is the fact that she has the tabard for being exalted with x-amount of reps. The red flamey pretty cool lookin one.

Oh and her sword from grayskull.

Edit 12/8- Correction the tabard is from having 25 tabards. It is awesomesauce.

Open Letter to Blizzard Dev's (Part 1)

I don't know how many parts that this will have, but this is my first in a series of open letters to the Blizz developers.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Patch 3.3 you are going to add in a new feature to Report Lag.

Really? WTF is wrong with you? No I'm serious... I'll wait here for your response.

You are giving this functionality to everyone, I'm assuming to improve the servers. On one hand it looks fantastic on paper. Lets see who has the worst lag and we'll upgrade those servers first, etc. OK- I can see that.

But in reality you are giving problem players a way to harass you, and the rest of the server. You are giving this to every douchebag who persists in typing in /2 Anal (insert ability name here). You are giving this to people who can barely find the "on" button on their computers. You are giving this to people who should be chemically castrated for how STUPID they are. You are giving this to players who have no sense of reality and think that all of their problems are someone else's fault. None of these people are going to listen to a reasonable answer, if in fact you or your employees are going to respond to each of these incidents.

Instead what you are going to be doing it giving them an "ADD LAG" button to their UI. That right.. all of these individuals will report lagginess when their addon's, internet connection, computer, etc. is at fault. Because as each of these rolls in, it will stress the server. As each player says in trade "Hey I just reported Lag. I wanted to see how it worked. HAHAHAHA" more people will do it. Our servers are already stressed to the point where you had to make our instances boil over onto more open servers in our battlegroups, and you have just added to the stress level for all of the extra data you will have to mine and process.

The only way that this could even remotely work is to only trust people with this button who have more than two braincells. Unfortunately there is no script in the world that can recognize this, and you have just mastered being complete twits about any problem that may actually exist.

Congrats Blizzard for a complete fuckup of an idea. Go back to the drawing board.

P.S. Every person and their mother lags in Dalaran unless they are playing on stupidly overpowered supercomputers. Are we ALL supposed to report lag when we hit Dalaran. Great way to crash the server.

The only exception I will ever make to this rule is for the MT... but all the tanks that I normally run with know better. If it's a PUG, I'll edumacate you on the ettiquette of asking for a fucking heal.

In the end though your fucking capslock is not my problem, and in fact I'll make it yours.

Not a WoW post.

I dressed up for work today, my outfit.. the thing farthest from the truth.. an Angel.

So I go frantically looking for a Halo last night, hoping I can find something premade.. no luck. I ended up at Michaels and I bought a long vine christmas decoration thingy (gold glitter covered vine thingy) and I proceeded to make my own out of a wire coat hanger, that, and some fine gold wire that I also purchased at Michaels.

I had no clue how heavy it'd be.

I decided that since I had the rest of the outfit it would be easy to do this outfit, and it was very last minute. White graduation gown from HS graduation... Check. White heels from my wedding.. Check. White wings I bought in Holland a long time ago and never used (and just recently delivered to me by my parents)... Check!

Those shoes never hurt this much the last time I wore them.... I've been barefoot at work for hours just out of the pain. I guess I had more adrenaline in my system the last time I wore them.

This is what I get for wearing flats for years.

Never ever ever again. Fuck high heels. With a big nasty uncleaned dildo.

3.3 LoH Change

So there's a rumor going around that 3.3 will bring the change of not being able to cast LoH on yourself anymore.

How I feel about it: Meh

Why: I'm not that concerned baout this change from a healing perspective. I use this as a last ditch "OH SHIT THE TANK IS GOING TO DIE!!" button more than anything else.

My guild raids with 7-8 healers in our 25 mans and I know that a MT or OT dying is much more hurtful than one of the healers. Yes the MT healer is important too, but our people are on the ball when shit goes downhill fast, and they can pickup where I left off if I bite the dust.

So it doesn't really affect me as much as some folks. I'm sure some Ret-fail-adins out there are crying though.

OK, so I'm new to the whole blogging community.

Who knows maybe you didn't notice this being my first post.

My introductory blog is a rant targetted at an asshat on my server. Why do I think this is wise to be my first post? I've had 24hrs to stew about this guy and I want to make sure that if anyone reads this, who happens to play on Icecrown, they can avoid this poor excuse for a human being and do something else constructive with their time... like fishing.

Let me back up and tell you who I am. I play Aoladari on Icecrown. I like long walks on the beach... oh wait, this isn't that type of post.

I'm a main tank healer by trade and a secondary or tertiary raid healing organizer person for my guild. I also coordinate the pally buffs (this doesn't sond like alot to some of you but I have a whole separate rant saved up for that one). I'm not a self absorbed or excessively mean person by any standards, and in most cases if you want help with something, and I know you, I will be more than happy to give a hand if I have the time. This ends up getting me involved with doing things that are a waste of my time more often than not, but can occasionally be entertaining.

My gear is not the best on the server. I'll openly admit that. I don't spend time grinding out badges for better gear and I'm often behind the curve. That doesn't mean that I suck, and it doesn't mean that I don't know how to do my whack-a-mole healing job very well. Healbot FTW.

Anyway I have a few pieces of iLvl 245 gear and I continue to upgrade through raiding mostly. I just don't have the tier sets. Looking like I could jump off of the mountains in IC and glide to the ground safely is not a target goal of mine by any means. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the Alliance T8.5 Paladin kit. I am one of the better geared healers in my guild and I attribute that to our casual progression raiding style and my damn luck with the /roll's.

So I took yesterday off of work. Not a big deal, I was ill (really *cough cough*), but I did spend my time doing my second favorite thing in the world, playing WoW.

At around 3pm yesterday a call goes out for a PUG 10man ToC. I think to myself... "Self, you could use an upgrade or two there, reset is tomorrow, go for it."

I send a tell to the leader from my alt telling him I'll be bringing a healer. I switch over and join. Here is a crucial point in how he was building this group... only 2 healers for 10 people. Normally this would work fine, if people know what they are doing.... including me.

One point for the raid leader, he recognised that as a single target healer, I should be utilized as a MT healer off the bat. Very nice.. I must have found a decent PUG run right?? Well sorta.

Along the way we lose a few people while getting rolling or after the first 2-3 wipes at Beasts... yes thats right folks.. 2-3 wipes at the first fight. >.< We fill the holes and move along. Finally getting Beasts down.

We wipe more and more, but are also progressing in the raid by actually killing bosses, so I decide it's not in my best interest to bail, but GOD did I want to.

Why?

The Raid leader "Amoone" decided that if we wiped, it had to be the healers fault... every... single.... time....

No that wasn't the Kolbold beating my brains to a pulp that caused anything, or the DPS not switching light to dark feet at twins... or anything else. It was always the healers fault, and he felt so sure of it that he said it every.... single..... wipe.

We often corrected him, or told him what actually happened. Or told him that the strategy was wrong. He would then tell me how easy it is to single heal the entire raid on one priest... oh really?? Well if you haven't noticed by the fact that I'm wearing a shield, or PLATE GEAR, I'm not a fucking Priest. It's a little harder to heal at least 4 people (2 tanks and 2 healers... we're more prone to not watch our own health bars after all) even with BoL running on one of the tanks.

I can't recall every instance of him going off on the healers in raid chat but for the most part they went like this;

Raid Leader: W
Raid Leader: T
Raid Leader: F
Raid Leader: ....

or

Raid Leader: OMG Where are the heals?

or

Raid Leader: What the fuck is wrong with the heals?

When I say we wiped a lot.. I mean it. I was at 18% durability before the first attempt at the last boss, and I started the day at 100%.

Luckily the other healer, or the tanks were backing us up... they knew that other shit was going on and that we were not responsible for every wipe. (I was responsible for one... C-T-D ftw... *sigh*)

Finally before the last attempt I compared him to a 10yr old with his panties in a twist, everyone got their heads out of their asses, and we won.

Still for blaming every single wipe on the healers, you have officially earned our spot on my shit list Amoone. Fuck you very much, kthxbye.
